I'm going by train and tube, train at 4 Ish from bicester takes 58 minutes to Marylebone then it's tube to Oxford Circus change to district line straight to Upton Park Station. Takes about 35 mins on the tube.

or use the jubilee line? TFL says they all take about 35 minutes Jubilee goes to West Ham station but not to Upton Park station. District Line or Hammersmith & City Line for Upton Park, although I think that the Hammersmith closes early evening.

Not sure exactly when but the district line is a sure fire bet.

Whatever you do, try not to take the District / Hammersmith and City line until the last opportunity, otherwise you'll be stuck on a slow train taking forever. Try and get the Jubilee line to West Ham then change onto District line, or else get Central line to Mile End and cross the platform.

I'm doing the coach to Marble Arch, so I'll take your tip for the Central Line.

Last train leaves Marylebone at 22:20. So hope for no extra time and pens then!

Last train leaves Marylebone at 22:20. So hope for no extra time and pens then! I think you may be mistaken, last train from Marylebone to Bicester is at 23:54 according to the national rail enquiries website. Not sure if this will work but have a look at: ojp.nationalrail.co.uk/en/s/timetable/times

Is it actually possible to get back on the train if it goes to extra-time and pens?

Is it actually possible to get back on the train if it goes to extra-time and pens? As long as your on the tube by 11:15pm you'll be fine for the last train.

I know this is a useful information thread, but it makes us sound like a bunch of country hicks heading for the big city. " Oi reckon some of them London pubs got TV an' everthin' ...."
