whats the chances of a 15 year old from Manchester getting to the west ham game? Would try and force my dad to take me but its obviously a long journey even though he did take me to the play-off semi final second leg for the day. Would it be hard for me to get a train on a tuesday night and back again? or would I get lost seeing my age, although i'm going to every away game in the north? I really want to go but its obviously going to be a pricey one.

Not advisable by public transport IMO.
There is a possibility of extra time and penalties.
Upton Park is not the best tube station in the world and it could be 11:30 or midnight before you got to Euston - let alone Manchester.

Staying with somebody in oxford does sound the best idea (doesn't have to be somebody going to the game as there will be enough of us coming back to tag along)
alternatively somebody may see this who is travelling form somewhere close to you and may share lifts/chaperone you on public transport
good luck

I've got a chance as my dad thought it would be too expensive, but its cheap so. Thius is what we'd do: Dad drives us down to Oxford, Get the train to West Ham and back. Then stay at the grandma's for a night and drive back.
