Looks like a bowling wicket. Perhaps that's why Warwickshire are bottom of division one with lowest batting points in the table at county level. I prefer a bowling wicket to the flat boring pitches you seem to get in a lot of places where teams can't take 20 wickets in the match. The trouble is that the players are now so used to the flat boring pitches and 20Twenty style that they can't play on good bowling ones any more. That is actually a very good point.

England can build a good lead today or collapse. I'm thinking the former.

England can build a good lead today or collapse. I'm thinking the former. They almost have a good lead already. Don't need more than 150 I would have thought. How many do you think England need.

I think they'll get 250 to 300 and bowl Pakistan out for 100 in the 2nd innings. However with England there is always a chance of a collapse.

A great pity that the test matches this summer haven't really been proper contests. Although it's fun to see our bowlers looking so dominant, there's little of the tension that can make test cricket so gripping. Although the Pakistanis have been pretty poor let's not take away from the fact that our bowlers and fielders have done extremely well in exploiting the conditions to full effect.

Pakistan seem to be working on the premise of every wicket we take, must drop a catch to balance it up. It's not hard catches either.
We need a few more than 250 I feel. 300 would suit, but I can't see it happening.

Pakistan are in trouble with 3 days to go. I still think they'll be all out short of England's total but would like them to make England bat again and make a match of it.

Oh, I agree with that. But if the Pakistanis had even the basic skills (being able to catch for example!) then the series would have been much closer and therefore more exciting. I know they aren't used to the swinging ball when batting, but surely catching is virtually the same in all condiitons? But you are right, our bowling and fielding has been excellent - I'm not so convinced about quite a lot of the batting however!

Alistair Cook's place under threat? 138 for 6. Pakistan are delaying the inevitable. Only day 3 and 4 wickets left and still 42 behind England.

154 for 7. Gul injured and unlikely to bat so only 2 wickets needed.

251 for 7. Looks like the pitch is becoming a bit easier to bat on.

England 47 for 1, Cook out for 4 (his place is looking precarious).
England should win from here, but not before lunch.

Good performance by England. Cook looks really out of form but as England won convincingly I don't reckon he'll be dropped.
