Our section of the draw includes AFC Bournmouth Aldershot Exeter Southampton Scumdon Torquay & Yeovil Draw on 14th August Why do these Southern teams Barnet, Cheltenham Town, Colchester United, Hereford United, and Wycombe Wanderers get a bye but not Exeter, Southampton, Scumdon?

An even better 'tinpot trophy' than the FA Trophy.

could be used as a runout for some of the fringe players or ones that have been on the bench for the previous 4-5 matches.

Would you give the Scum a bye?
Let the inbreds work for it if they want to progress ;D
I agree with the others though, especially Southampton - arent they the holders for gods sake!!
See Carlisle [losing finalists last season] got a bye in the Northerntw*ts section

Shots are 10 minutes on the train for me, and Turkey one of the great train trips.

A 1 in 7 chance of getting the Scum. Surely our best chance in years?!

Thanks for posting the information.
Unless we get S***don I’m not interested. Field those who haven’t played much and concentrate on the league.

Southampton away wouldn't be too bad either - would quite like to see St. Mary's. Otherwise agree with you. And to whoever was asking about the byes - I believe they are drawn randomly.

Scumdon or Saints away will do nicely! Or Scumdon at home!

This will be a useful competition for us this year. Fill the many midweek voids, keep all the squad match fit. Chance of a daytrip to our favourite away ground - Wembley.

I would be excited about this competition if we took it seriously.
In the past we have always played our reserves and hardly ever won a game in it.
