Obviously Beano will bang a few in next season, but what is worrying me at times when watching United, is that he seems the only one likely to score. Id like to think Midson will bag a few more this year, where his techniqual abilities will shine a bit more. I also would like to see Green shine as well and provide 15, especially with his pace. Although I feel we can go all the way next year, I think we need more goals, and just wondered where others thought the goals may come from.

Hall and Heslop will score some. So will Potter and Deering. Batt will score, maybe Kinniburgh will chip one in from the wing.
No doubt Cole will get some. Maybe Creighton will pop up and score.
Bulman? Maybe not.

I may start a new thread however.
Beano - 23 Midson 19 Cole - 13 Hall - 12 Green - 11 (Is gonna get injured in November and out for the season) Heslop 9 Bulman - 8
(Plus about 10 from others)
If i'm correct thats 105 however I only added them up in my head :-\

I've just had a look in the OED for the definition of 'goal shy' and there's a picture of him in there. Nice guy, brings other players in, but he's no goal machine from what I've seen so far. Green has more of a chance - Bulman 8 goals?? LOL

I'm not saying you're putting him down ;D I just think, Midson will benefit from the ball being played on the ground and to feet. He can hold up, he makes intelligent runs. He'll make goals and I think Wilder has said that he has the best finish at the club. However, correct me if i'm wrong. But I haven't seen him in too many goal scoring positions this year. He's always been put 'too wide' and when he does get put in the middle I don't think he got too many chances in the few games he played. He's a 'clever-boy' as my Dad always says ;D. I can see him scoring more than Beano this year as both are unproven but Beano will get at least 18 I think.

The goal tally from last season was as follows: Constable - 23 Green - 10 Potter - 5 Clist - 5 Midson - 5 Cook - 4 Chapman - 3 Sandwith - 2 Dearing - 2 Batt, Foster, Murray, Kinniburgh, F Green, Sodje, Creighton - 1 each
First question - what makes you think those that did score in the conference will do as well or better in a higher league?
Second question - are the players we've bought in more or less likely to add to the goal tally?

Only joking. From a quick count up we have let go or not as in one case 13 goals. I think the new players will easily equal that.

Trust me, he'll get double figures if he becomes our penalty taker (possibly) - he may also be warming the bench for a number of games. Beano and Green for me, with possibly Cole if he stays fit as the top three.
Still not sure how you think Bulman (holding midfielder) will get 8.
