Thats a good crowd considering that there are no "stars" playing for Man U.

Pre-season kick about. Best thing is the £££`s it raises from all the plastic Mancs.

P'raps a blessing in disguise P'raps the defence needs adjusting It will keep us alert Not sure it's the defence that needs adjusting. I haven't seen any of the pre-season games, but I get a sense that it's up front we need to look at. Hope I'm wrong but I think we'll be a hard side to beat, but perhaps draw a few too many games because of not scorinh enough.

We deserved to win that game. Very encouraging game from the lads. If we play like that against teams in our league we'll do well. I wonder whether Beast will be good enough for the league. He's great against teams that put in the high balls and deals with them well, I don't think he's so good against opposition that play the ball to feet. It was a clumsy tackle from him that gave away a penalty, if it was a league game he could have been red-carded. Worley played well, although, as I didn't hear the team before the game, I spent the game thinking he was Franks Hall and Heslop had some decent long rang shots. Matt Green missed a sitter, Midson is awful in front of goal. I agree with the comment further up the thread about our lack of goals. Hopefully we'll get some from midfield. I enjoyed the game and look forward to our first game at Burton.

Oxford were easily the better team. Free kicks weren't clarkeys fault (although I'm biased, see my name), first one the wall shouldn't have jumped, second one was just too late in the game for anyone to care Hall, Heslop and Bulman could be the best midfield combination in league two if they keep playing like this, and if Green tightens his finishing a little, Oxford'll confidently score 2 in pretty much every game.

Did I just hear a vuvazela? There were a couple in the North home area. If they come back they'll be able to play them out of their ar$es!
