Clarke 8 - Vital save to prevent Bradford doubling their lead. Batt 8 - Surged forward. Late error almost costly. Tonkin 8 - Superb game. Linked brilliantly down left. Worley 9 - Near faultless display. He's a superb player. Wright 8 - Back in the groove after injury lay off. Hall 7 - Great first half, got a bit sloppy in second half. McLaren 9 - Man of the match. Controlled the midfield. Clist 8 - Did his usual job and kept it all ticking along. Craddock 8 - One of his best games. Held ball and used it well McLaren 8 - Looked out of sorts early on but bossed it thereafter. Midson 7 - Plenty of effort but needs to shoot on sight.
Heslop 8 - Drove forward and great at retaining possession. Constable 8 - Added that bit of tempo to our play in final third. Sangere 7 - Good distance with a couple of clearances.

think youve got that all pretty much spot on. almost feels harsh to give hall and mids lower marks than the others.

Thought that was Halls best game without a doubt. 8 at least.

Clarke 8 - Vital save to prevent Bradford doubling their lead. Only 1 shot on goal he had to save I think. Batt 8 - Surged forward brilliantly, caused a few heartattack moments at the end Tonkin 9 - Best ever game. Deserved to be there. Worley 9 - Near faultless display - except cynical foul. Still took one for the team. Wright 8 - Definitely in the groove after injury lay off. Hall 8 - Great first half, won everything in midfield. McLaren 9 - Controlled the midfield most of the game, great passes. Clist 8 - Controlled and calmed the midfield at times - simply class. First half MOTM Craddock 8 - One of his best games. Held ball and used it well. Linking with Maclean - wow Maclean 8 - Looked out of sorts early on but bossed it thereafter. Linking with Craddock -wow Midson 8 - Plenty of effort but needs to shoot on sight. Brilliant link up play.
Heslop 7 - Drove forward well and good at retaining possession. Constable 8 - Added that bit of tempo to our play in final third - right place right time man. Sangere 6 - Good distance with a couple of clearances. Not long on the pitch to give higher

Agree with you there Baldy. Josh Payne could do a lot worse that watch exactly what McLaren does and learn. Great team performance.

Thought that was Halls best game without a doubt. 8 at least. I would agree but just before he was taken off he gave away two really sloppy passes that set Bradford on counter attacks with a man advantage. Nothing came of it but I think that might have nudged Wilder into subbing him, he just started to look a bit careless but not a big criticism because he did do well.

Glad to see Tonkin back on form again.
Personally I'd give the lot a 9 and the team 12.

Asa Hall was "rampant" in the first half with a license to get forward at every opportunity.
He was on the ball so much and his passing both left and right short and long was excellent. He also fired in three or four shots.
He started the second half with a couple of wayward passes and Bradford were a bit tighter on him but when you down 0-1 and have Heslop and Payne on the bench you have great options in midfield and Constable really put the cat amongst the pigeons when he came on.
The star player was Paul McLaren - as good a home debut as I have seen for years. He played with calmness, authority on the ball and made the game look easy with his accurate passing and his ability to break up play.
He looks a class act for us.

Agree with the ratings, McClaren was my MOM closely followed by Tonkin. Tonks actually looked very quick today and created so many chances on the left flank and did Batt on the right.
The game was a complete contrast to the game against Southend, from the Centre Backs hoofing the ball to us playing fantastic possession football.
Both Centre backs played it simple to McClaren who compared Wootton has far more mobility and class on the ball. They all put a really good shift in.
Well done to CW for the changes in the second half, Beano really gave their defence the run around and caused them endless problems, Heslop was steady and I was surprised he wasn't in Shoot on sight mode with the strong wind at his back.
TC is showing what an important player he is becoming for us with the winning goals in the last two matches.
McClean gave a masterclass in forward play today, holding the ball up, leading the line with finesse. I would start Craddock McClean and Constable at Northampton. (hopefully McClean will be here)

Midson did well today but we looked a bit more threatening with the McLean, TC and Beano trio.

I agree with your ratings, baldy. All of the players did very well today. Apart from the error late on, i thought Batt had a very good game. My MoM was McLaren, he was very assured and i hope he plays like that most weeks. Well done lads, on to Northampton.

Agreed Fantastic Team performance!
Im sure having a player like McLaren in the team to look up to will do Payne the world of good. At 34 McLaren has got the experience that Payne hasn't acheived yet, but at 20 has the ability to be as good, if not better.

One of our best peformances this season. I had SUCH a good day, thouroughly payed Bradford back for their demolition of us. The fans were brilliant, the players were brilliant... just everything was brilliant! Only one downside - Maclean didn't stand on the ball! If tonkin keeps playing like that then he totally justifies his position in the team, however my joint man of the match award today goes to batt and maclaren

Todays Football League paper makes Pidgeley MOM, which is fair enough I suppose. Luke Miles, then gives the following:- Clarke 6, Batt 6 Worley 7 Wright 7 Tonkin 7, Hall 7, Heslop 7, Clist 6, McLaren 6, Craddock 8. Clist and McLaren 6? ? What game was Mr Miles at???

He's an idiot. Clarke would be understandable given he had nearly nothing to do, but harsh given his one excellent save and unflappable performance. Batt... what game was he watching??? Worley 7, bit low, wright, same, tonks, definitely low, hall, fair enough, heslop too, clist - is he insane? , maclaren - WHAT? , Craddock, yup. And Pidgeley was mostly awful. Two good saves made up for two mistakes for our goals and some AWFUL handling of the ball.

Can't believe the ratings in TFLP, seriously the goalie almost spilled every shot, two good saves don't make you MOM and as for our ratings think he got us and Bradford abit confused?

I feel there is a career opportunity opening up for Mr Miles and his insightful reporting in a well known local newspaper that starts with an O...
