Not announcing the details on the website or in the local press before going on sale is a farce in my eyes. We have almost 1,000 tickets left why did it need announcing earlier. Season ticket holder still have 2 days to get a ticket if they choose and there is availability. I've been griping about this, so this will be my last moan. Taking a local example to me - Birmingham City (Premiership, so not a great comparrison, but they are a club I know a bit about). Their first game to the season is Sunderland away on 14th August. They have a sort of membership scheme as well as ST holders, however their ST holders have TWO days to buy tickets (Monday and Tues next week), which is plenty of time, which then gives more time for anyone else to buy on general sale AND get their tickets posted to them. Why do our ST holders need three days, particularly when time is limited? I'd argue that those with membership should have been given Friday - the time today for them to buy is fairly limited, given there will still be ST holders still buying today. As an aside, you forget how good some of our ticket allocation actually is relative to capacity down here... BCFC have been allocated 2,000 for the stadium of light, and we've around 1,500 for the Pirelli - we've also got a bloody good away support Grumble over.

Ticket details were in the match day programme against Man Utd so if you were there and bought one you would have known. If you werent there then thats your own fault for not knowing.
