Add to that how Munster went to Perpignon (I'm sure French champions) last year and put 45 points over them, after being completely written off by everyone. The majority of the squad played that game too. EDIT: Toulon have also lost at home to poorer French teams this year in the Super 14 - Bayonne and La Rochelle, and also lost to Racing Club '92 in Paris at the weekend. Lost six out of 15 so far in the Super 14 this year - not a good record. Lump your money on Munster boys! Munster need a major overhaul, scrum not working anymore and too many players getting old they will all have to be replaced at the same time. You're the boy in Clare? So much to be done, the tactics simply aren't working. The whole pack needs looking at. Donnacha O'Callaghan gave away at least 9 points because of his ill disapline. So many non performers. John Hayes should have been left out to stud two years ago, and why they persist with Wian Du Preez is beyond me. Durragh Hurley is far and away better. Leamy ain't a number 6.

Wales on there day can beat anyone but I think injuries might catch them out as when we miss key players, the players coming in are not performing! Ireland are a great side but not ticking at the moment and I think maybe a few of the older players need to be dropped and youth brought in!! They didn't have a bad Autumn mind!! Scotland were the unluckiest in the 6Nations last time and I will be interested to see how they perform this time around they were the biggest improvers in my opionion though the results did not show! England had the best of the Autumn I think and getting it sorted at the right times, not always great to watch but can pull out some results!! Big opening game on the 4th February in Cardiff in terms of the 6Nations!
Cannot wait for the 4th February for the 6Nations then rolling onto the World Cup!! Come on Wales!!!

Hi Pogue, yea i'm in Clare. I think a new coach is needed ASAP. So many problems, O Gara is coming near the end, Warick leaving, O Callaghan as you say is costing points, Earls not in his best position, in fairness to John Hayes i'm sure he would prefer to start on the bench and maybe bring some experience for the last 15mins but Buckley is obviously not good enough to replace the Bull. The biggest problem is the academy is years behind Leinsters academy so there is very little coming through which means we're going to have to keep playing most of the older lads for the moment. End of an era i'm afraid. Munster need a major overhaul, scrum not working anymore and too many players getting old they will all have to be replaced at the same time. You're the boy in Clare? Cowley Lad, what you doing in Clare?! Not hoping they start filming Father Ted again or summat?
Agreed, TMG isn't right for the type of rugby Munster play. Pushing out wide all the time making no ground, forcing the play inside as soon as you hit the line isn't right. O'Gara has signed a new 2 year deal. There's the boy from Connacht coming to hopefully replace him over the course, but we'll see....
The academy has some good young players in it. You have Ian Nagle who is 22, a lock, and can't get a look in. Northampton have reportedly come to have a look at him and are offering a contract. The problem is, he's behind POC, DOC and MOD. All 3 are centrally contracted, and it's the IRFU who decide who gets to play, for how long and when. All part of trying to build the Irish team. Nagle goes from a man of the match performance against Australia last year to not even making the squad next time out.
Denis Hurley is a great back (Heineken Cup starters medal in 2008 too), but can't seem to get near the team at the moment. Then there are Felix Jones (Number 15) and Johne Murphy coming home from a stint at Leicester. The backs are fine, and the academy has helped produce some good players (Not really a Munster forte producing backs!). The forwards are a huge worry though.
Me and herself's next game is in Cork v The Dragons (5th March), so we'll see how far Munster have come.
6 nations is Ireland's to win. France and England at home, Leinster producing most of the talent and they are flying at the moment. Can't see anyone stopping us this year!

Hi Pogue, i've been in Clare since all the family moved back years ago. We're not too far frm where Fr Ted was filmed!! I agree Ian Nagle looks very good, he needs more game time but i think he will play saturday. POC needs games too but i dont see the sense in playing MOD or DOC now. The rest of the ML needs to be used to look at the young players, nobody cares about winning the ML anyway. I agree the backs are fine but the scrum is a joke. I'll be there on Saturday i'm expecting a performance after last week. 6 nations is wide open but its always better having France & England at home. I really hope it all comes down to March 19th v England.!!! Cowley Lad, what you doing in Clare?! Not hoping they start filming Father Ted again or summat?
