Another dominant day for England, bell IMO had every right to do what he did. Not his job to decide weather he's in or out... Add 50 quick runs in the morning and another innings defeat looks on the cards.... I read in the paper that some Aussies had clicked their fingers in an attempt to fool the Snickometer. Not sure this is true but i wouldn't put it past them. Not walking when you are batting is not the same as lying that you have caught a ball that bounced first.

Excellent performance from Cook again. Funny how at the start of the series the media thought Cook's place was in jeapordy.
Good support from Bell, who is far too good to be coming in at six. He needs to be at the very least swapped with Collingwood in the batting order.

Cook has been simply brilliant and will be justifiably "man of the series" ..........

How is it not the same? surely one leads to the other? If Batsmen are allowed to cheat why can't fielders?

The point I was making is as a fielder you know if the ball wasn't caught, the knowledge you knicked the ball behind may not be quite so black and white, especially if someone clapped or clicked their fingers.

Every (non deaf) batsman knows when they've nicked it.
Always.
It's up to the Umpires to give them out. Cricket's always been more in favour of batsmen than bowlers - the review system will go a long way to addressing that imbalance.
Look at some of the lbw's given to spinners now, they'd never have got those years ago before hawkeye.
The review system's brilliant. Snicko and hotspot will get better and more accurate with time, just as hawkeye has.

I really hope we can go on and secure a 3-1 series win, it would be a fair reflection of the difference between the two sides. It's been a great TEAM performance.
I was in Australia for a month or so in our winter of 05/06 after we had won that amazing Ashes series at home with Vaughan as captain. The locals were pretty quiet back then. ;D

Collingwood to retire from Test cricket.
Think it is the right decision - and a brave one for him to walk before he was pushed. I wonder if Strauss/ Flower had a word?
Not a brilliant player - but a key one over the past 6 years. Had his moments. Fantastic in the field.
Hopefully he can have a swan song over the next year or two in 1 day cricket and maybe can help us defend our 20/20 trophy at the next WC.
Hopefully he can focus on winning the WC in Feb/ March - round off a magnificent Winter for us!

Bell up to 4th?!
Drop KP down?
Nah.
Bell 5 and then Morgan 6. With Ravi coming in as the 'spare' bat for injuries. Always liked Bopara but think Morgan deserves his shot at this moment

Once again Englands session. Easily.
gutted to see colly retire, not because i think hes got anything left to give to the team, but because he was a top guy who never gave anything less than 150%. Hes a top player, and for someone with limited ability, a career average of 40+ is very decent.

They can click their fingers all they like, wouldn't make any difference, Snicko is not part of the DRS as it takes too long to process, about 7 minutes I believe.

Another awesome day.
Vaughny was class last night on 5 live - saying 4 Bangladeshis would walk into this Aussie team ;D
On the verge of another victory by an innings....loving it, can't wait to see the highlights on ITV4 tonight before we bang the final 3 nails into the Aussies coffin.
