Is it better to regain or retain the ashes?

retain - especially if we win the series.
The Aussies held them for far too long 1989-2005. Now's our time to rub their noses in it.

Just home after an all nighter round Dad's mates house. Brilliant evening and Trott has been amazing so far this series! We were saying - as soon as Clarke starts bowling, thats when you know the Aussies are getting desperate! - his average was like 5 an over! :L Also did you see his best was 6 wickets for 9 runs? Who was that against?![/color] He got them v India - and they still lost!! www.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/match/64102.html

Has anyone watched the ITV4 highlights with the Channel 9 commentary? Those Aussies are so biased its unbelievable. Michael Slater has a huge chip on his shoulder which is ironic as both his parents were British!
We are spoiled with the standards set by SKY......

Roll on Day 3.....346 ahead.
Our biggest ever 1st innings leads at the MCG are 398 in 1912 & 377 in 1975......
Weather's good, no time pressure on England so we can just bat the innings out. Another 100 runs would do nicely & great if Prior can get to a ton.

We are spoiled with the standards set by SKY...... this is the first time this series I've watched the match on sky as opposed to the channel 9 coverage. The aussie commentators really do hate the english beating them dont they! Warne is alright to listen to, very impartial and just appreciates good cricket. otherwise just hope for greigy and nicholas who at least have an english perspective on things. much preferring sky though...all round better production.

Yeah, but great to hear their bitterness too ;D Aussies were bad winners for years, they're even worse losers.

Tony Grieg!! you could hear him in the background on commentary cheering the fall of an English wicket! the guy's totally clueless most of the time. Agree about Warney though - the guy is so knowledgable about the game and appreciates a bit of banter...

Noticed that aswell they didn't even seem to think Ponting was doing anything wrong (when he lost it)

Pity.
Now let's see what Bresnan's got to offer in the batting stakes....

One good thing with Prior the runs were always flowing, maybe to much to ask from Bresnan don't want to risk twinge the last few wickets.
