I know an ashes series down under is always going to be hard, but we have the better team this time, so bring it on....

Who thinks Monty will get a game in the proper ashes test? I can't see the current first choice bowlers being dropped but there is always the chance of injury.

England in a strong position now. Should win. If so will be good confidence booster.

Touch wood, England are looking in good shape at the moment. Let's just hope we can carry this decent form into the matches that matter.

I read yesterday ITV4 are doing an hour highlights show daily during each test. For those without SKY this will at least mean some coverage will be shown. Can't bloody wait. C'mon England. :-)

Would love to see us be ruthless this evening and demolish Australia A.
Been very impressive start to the tour - no-one can dispute the fact that the boys are ready. Now they need to to do it when it counts.
Bell is 7/4 to be top scoring English born player player in the series
His only real competition is Cook and Collingwood. I quite fancy that bet.

Paddypower - they have 74 markets just view all and you will see it
Don't put too much on - the odds may tumble before I invest!

as a side-note. I see that the WACA has developed a massive crack down the middle of the pitch. should make it lethal to bat on once again.

With the wet conditions in Oz of late - apparently all the state games have been short and I have read that not one game in Brisbane has lasted 4 days yet!
So - odds are - there will be a result in the first game.
I think it may be a low scoring Ashes. Which if so, I think suits us. When we need to bat time/ get big scores - I sense we panic a little bit.

i see we have Strauss reverting to negative tactics once again. One slip early on the final day with a healthy lead when you're trying to win a game.

Really enjoyed this warm up game, lot's of positives to take from it and If these are our reserve bowlers I hope the first choice 4 can put in such a consistent performance throughout the series when the pressure is really on.
A refreshing change to see a group of England bowlers keep the pressure on when the conditions are tough for bowling and not lose their lines and try too hard to force it with too many short balls and wayward bowling.
Bring it on Aussies!
