How many of us in the Witney constituency would have voted for the great man had we known that he sucks up to the most hated man on earth? I would'nt have.

Surely everyone knew what Cameron was like? He's an old-school Tory, so of course he sucks up to the likes of Kassam. Every man for himself and theres no such thing as society. Thats the way the Tories work and as Boris says, you reap what you sow...

The last government started 2 wars, never mind eh? ... The Tories would have done exactly the same, they don't even try to deny it

Don't expect anything different from Cameron. It's the people who voted Lib Dem I feel sorry for. They were sold a 'good un' by Clegg who's policies were more left wing than Labours. Now look what they've got. All the Lib dems in the cabinet have virtually changed their ideology in a matter of months!

But there are always going to be different views within a government even within the same party. Better to have an influence, albeit a small one than none at all. They have got some of their policies through, such as increasing the tax threshold. On balance I'd rather there were a few Lib Dems in there than not, even if that means compromising their ideology. At the end of the day they weren't voted in so they can't be expected to deliver many of their policies.

I thought the lib dem plan was to get in bed with the tories now, then fight for voting reform while they have a bit of power (that they would never have had in a million years) then they would have more chance at the ballot box in the future?

Voting reform will get nowhere in this country. It is a bit like turkeys voting for Christmas

Voting reform will get nowhere in this country. It is a bit like turkeys voting for ChristmasIt is in the conservatives case. The irony is that though the reforms are proposed by the lib dems they are most likely to benefit labour because there are simply so many more labour voters.

It all comes down to a bit of power and self gain for some of the Lib Dems, not about policy and honesty.

Yeah but in a choice between having a small say and none at all, surely it makes sense to have a small say? Its a difficult one, they've probably lost a lot of support but I think they've probably done the right thing.
