This is aimed at anyone with a interest in weather, particularly our followers in the US who experience Hurricanes, Tornado's. Here in Asia we are gearing up for Typhoon Megi, the strongest storm in world this year as projected to reach catergory 5. Along with the Yellows, one of my other hobbies is extreme weather. For anyone interested, here is the link of Megi www.usno.navy.mil/NOOC/nmfc-ph/RSS/jtwc/warnings/wp1510.gif

Dont know if anyone is tracking this. Megi is now one of the strongest storms ever, packing gusts of over 200mph!
Until I came to Asia, didnt realise what "real" weather could be like. Megi has got the whole worlds attention!
Will continue to provide updates and post video's especially if it comes close to Hong Kong

I'm not a 'weather fan' as you put it but please don't think nobody is reading this thread. Interesting stuff. Keep it up.

More concerning is its possible its coming to Hong Kong. If anyone has been to HK or indeed any major city, just imagine what a storm packing possible 150 mph winds can do!

Update; Megi has devastated Northern Philippines, making it look like Blackbird Leys now.. (joking)
Its been hovering around south of Hong Kong so looks like we are going to miss it. So all is well here in Hong Kong as I know you were concerned about me!

I remember there being an earthquake when I lived in Spain and several items fell and smashed in our lounge, and big cracks opened up in the pool house

Love a good bit of extreme weather personally! Would love to experience a hurricane or an earthquake (from a safe place).
