you could even take it a step further, as you now have an ultra reliable brain, why be satisfied with that dodgy old ticker? then after you get your new mechanical heart put in, why not get your limbs replaced for some better ones.
at what point do you stop being humam and become a robot?

How advanced do you think technology is?
Terminator Salvation isn't based on a true story. Just incase you're wondering.

rpg games get more and more realistic. ultimate realism would be so that you were completely emersed in a game so you weren't aware that there was any life outside of the game. asuming that computers will get better and better so that this will one day be possible, whats to say that it's not happining now? perhaps my whole life is just a game. I thought the same thing a few years ago: if technology and computers and their simulations continue to advance, it won't be too long before 'life' can be replicated through simulators, which completely immerse the player. It could tap into your nervous system, vision, smells, all senses, and be so believeable that emotions would be felt too. What is to say its not happening now, and somebody using a computer in some alternate reality is living their life through me as we speak. Some crazy Being John Malkovic, Matrix, Avatar, mashup of a world.

perhaps it's the way that we will achive imortality. i mean if you wanted to be imortal, you could replace all the crappy organic bits with longer lasting hard wiring, but why should you want to? if can build a computer to take the place of your brain then you could prob just download all your memories and personality on to a computer. or of course you could be someone else...anyone you wanted. putting everyones life onto a computer would certainly solve the overcrowding problem of imortality
