Why? I'm not remotely ashamed. Why should I be? I think a lot of people are like this down to pure jealousy. They can't take it that they weren't born into a privileged well off family and are just bitter about it. Get over it.

I voted for Thatcher three times and hated Heath over Europe but this time voted UKIP I don't see why anyone should be ashamed of voting for whoever they believe in

I think a lot of people are like that because those who were born into priviledged families often come off for better or worse as a bunch of t#ts.

Quote from Thatcher: "There is no such thing as society". I am ashamed of both Blair and Brown. They have financially ruined this country. Now Cameron et al have to pick up the pieces and do the best they can. He has my full support in these very difficult times.

Watch the recovery go pop in six months time due to heavy handed public spending cuts. They did not ruin the economy. The government has very little control - the Tories handed a lot of the "means to manipulate the economy" over to the Bank of England many years ago. I.e. the setting of interest rates. They did financially ruin the country though - selling off the gold reserves many years ago when gold was at an all time low. We are virtually bankrupt - we have vastly reduced assets and an exceptional level of borrowing (used to fund all of that spending).

Er, the interest rate setting was handed over to the Bank if England by a Chancellor called Brown as I recall. I wonder what became of him in the end?

They can't take it that they weren't born into a privileged well off family and are just bitter about it. Get over it. I grew up in a middle class family and I despise the tory party with a passion. I also have friends who are the same, so I don't think your sterotypical view holds much water. But then again thats such a tory attitude "i'm alright and if your not as good as me, then get over it" Some things will never change. Back to David Camwrong's possible involvement with Oxford Utd. I don't think any member of any political party should be involved with any football club.

Anyone who thinks that New Labour is in any way left of centre, never mind being decent Socialists, is clearly politically ignorant and therefore not worth listening to in this context.

They have financially ruined this country. Now Cameron et al have to pick up the pieces and do the best they can. He has my full support in these very difficult times. Our current Budget Deficit stands at £178 billion We (and yes it is our money)have bailed out/propped up the banks to the tune of £889 billion pounds £400 billion in asset purchases and lending £200 billion in cash bailouts £289 billion in nationalising banks (including £56bill to Lloyds, HBOS & RBS, £48 billion to Northern Rock & Bradford & Bingley) Seeing as just about all of these that received our money are now back to the good old days of obscene profits and bonuses, perhaps they'd like to spend a small amount of our money wiping out the budget deficit for us each year - seeing as we've been so good to them. To put this debt in context, Africa's entire debt to Western Nations stands at £128billion. The fact is there are several ways and means of reducing the deficit and the Tories deep cuts are driven out of philosophy, not necessity. Their previous track record on public spending would suggest that we will all be regretting such cuts in years to come. Cameron an Oxford fan? - don't make me laugh - about as plausible as Gordon Brown being a fan of the Arctic Monkeys ;D

In fact the Tories are loving this massive deficit. It means they can follow their traditional policies of massive spending cuts and a redistribution of income from the poor to the rich, whicle presenting this as the only option because of the deficit. Meanwhile the banks do what they want because they are essential to the free market economy. If we've put so much money into them, why are they not nationalised and their profits used to pay off the debt?
