We would have liked to have done more, but we had 4 lads working and 2 lads on holiday which kinda restricts things.

With limited numbers and money things become hard. Each display we do comes out of our own pockets when you imagine we have 50ish games a season along with travel tickets food and beer that's enough on it's own. A display costs about 50ish on average. Full stand ones cost well over a ton. There is a few big games coming up for the group but we need help to improve otherwise we will never grow.

this again has turned into, I'm not sure if the GE ( Oxford Ultras) are useful because they are young. Go and have a chat with the lads, they are as passionate about the football club as anyone and will quite happily talk to you about future plans etc and getting involved. don't just brush them aside because they are a "bunch of teenagers", they are one of the most active "ultra" groups in the UK and with the small numbers they have that is most impressive! To grow they need support, to get more exposure, that is a tough one, obviously displays/colour/noise at matches attracts attention but most likely to the same people each week, i.e. those who stand with them at away games/around the section at the kass. The website although not updated as regularly at the moment could perhaps be linked off others sites- I'm sure people who run OUFC websites would be prepared to do this if asked. Secondly, i'm sure a fixed sub board on this forum would go a long way- so ADMIN get it sorted please Perhaps some sort of monthly email/newslettery kind of thing to keep people aware of what is coming (without revealing exact plans of course ) Within the next 5 years, the lads will probably have all attended uni/got full time jobs etc but they will still follow OUFC, to be a success they need support and not the critcism that is thrown about by those who don't look to understand what the GE are trying to do. Talk to them, they won't bite!

I'm sure if they appeal for help on here there must be some people who would be happy to help out from time to time. I'd be happy to lend a hand whenever I can.

Sorry guys, ive taken on board the task of the email list, but was in greece last week so wasn't very in contact with this.
Any way, if you want to be on it, PM your email.
It's basically just a way of us keeping people up to date with our displays, our presence at games, and also various meet points for some away games.
Cheers, look forward to your PM's.

Wispa. Why not put out a thread in matches asking people if they're inerested in getting involved. You could tier the opportunity to:
1. Those wanting to just wave a flag from time to time 2. Those wanting to help sedt up displays 3. THose wanting to be regular part of the group involved in travelling and discussing plans
All you have to do is put the word "at matches" in there and the mods wont move it.
