Perhap the statue of the Ox is in the wrong place, where it is now anyone can paint it or cover it with grafitti with little chance of getting caught, I can see this happening time and time again. Maybe it should of been put up nearer the ticket office.

I say when we catch the little arsehole that did it, we impale him the horns of the Ox.

The word around is that it is something to do with the closure of an art gallery in the city. Hence the slogan RIP Art.
Bloody silly protest if it is. Though it will probably get the publicity it doesn't deserve.

Turn it to the Clubs advantage...BBC Oxford TV, .Publicity pics with the team around it - 12th man money raiser - have your picture taken with the pink ox before its cleaned, Statements on how puerile it all is, etc etc - then clean it off??.

Well, Mr Blobby lives...with four legs and a tail! Oh, come on you have to admit it looks pretty damn funny, but my sympathy goes out to the guy who has the job of cleaning it!

I always admire the statue but I have to admit to having a bit of a smile over it. Won't get too upset as it will get restored.

I can't believe some people are taking this so lightly. I'm personally fuming and hope the c**ts who did it get the s**t kicked out of them and put in hospital. Oh and sprayed pink as well.

Our soldiers are dying in Afganistan, some parents dont see thier kids, some kids suffer abuse and poverty, good people are dying of cancer. While ill agree the Ox being painted pink is not great, theres other bigger things to worry about. Soap and water will bring it back to normal, its not the end of the world

The whole Stadium is very vunerable -this prank/vandalism serves to highlight the fact. Several windows have been shattered in the past, and the Graffitti 'artists' have had a field day.
Long term it needs a 12ft wall or moat around it!

Why not run a large chunk of the national grid output through it, that should deter the casual aggressor - not sure how I would feel about having to swim to watch the game...

Can't we tether a real ox bull outside the stadium? I'd like to see anyone paint that pink.

actually it is a shrewd marketing move by the club to prepare us for the colour of next seasons away kit! Grass? In the car park.. ?
