Incase you haven't ever noticed baldy, Nani is one if the biggest offenders in the Premiership when it comes to simulation, diving and cheating!! He's a bit like Ronaldo. Because he plays the game virtually on tip toe, like a ballet dancer, he's very easy to knock off the ball. Balance is an issue with him but since he's improved his upper body strength he seems to ride the tackles a lot better. might at one time have had the thought to go over a little too easily but I think he's cleaned that up. Good player and doing very well this season. A very interesting analogy there Baldy. And there I was thinking you were weren't a great fan of these 'tippy-tappy lightweight girlie' players such as Fabregas, Nasri, Walcott, Henry, Pires etc. Line, Sinker, Hook - Rearrange. ;D

I mean look at Scholes, Giggs - hardly heavy weights. Its that little delicate pass and move style that gets me. All tip it here, tap it there and then roll around when you get tackled. Nani is a strong footballer with delicate touch. He's very direct and powerful and I wouldn't categorise him with your Rosickys, Nasris, Arshavins, Wilsheres etc. There is a definite difference between a player with power and touch (Man U) and one with touch and no power (Arsenal).

So Nani and Ronaldo go to ground easily (dive) because they are powerful.
Arsenal players go to ground easily (dive) because they are NOT powerful?
I'm confused.

Not true Baldy. It is pretty obvious what the difference is, and it's round about the right-hand corner of their kit - one has a red devil, the other has a cannon.
If Nani, Ronaldo, Rooney, Evra played for Arsenal you would be laying into them left, right and centre.
I mean with Nani, if you so much as fart he'll hit the deck as if he's just been hit by a sniper from the Stretford End!

Nani has upper body strength which allows him to ride challenges but he does run very upright which makes it easier to push him off balance. Very similar to Ronaldo. Rooney shouldn't suffer in the same way because he's more squat and he should retain balance well, which he does. Its all clear sihath, you just need to apply a bit of logic.

It's a shame baldy never applies this kind of intense debate when it comes to discussing Oxford United.

this forum does seem to be very anti man u i wonder if its because of baldy I don't hate Manchester United. I just hate the ridiculous bias baldy shows towards them and the way he'll label anyone who doesn't agree with him an Arsenal fan.

I agree with Sihath, how can you catagorise players in a certain way based on who they play for?

Why is it then that when Rooney, Nani etc score, and then the big oaf of a centre-back Rio Ferdinand jumps on their back screaming something indecipherable, why is it that they don't topple into a crumbling heap as they're so lightweight? A blade of grass knocks them over, but a fifteen stone, 6 foot 3 inch centre back who happens to be on the same team, and they manage to stay on their feet. Now I'm really confused.

Classic thread ;D. Good to see 'w*nking' and 'nob head' get a mention too . You know we've reached the good stuff once those come out and football is forgotten about.
