Gary Anderson v Adrian Lewis.
Lewis just hit a nine darter. Incredible stuff.

That first set was just ridiculous. Anderson was getting absolutely blitzed but he was averaging something like 109. Lewis, as the commentators said, was scoring in telephone numbers averaging about 130. Chuck in the nine darter and god knows how many 180's and it was just bedlam.
A few of my mates have been down there this week and they say there is nothing like it and that TV doesn't do the atmosphere justice ! It's rare that you see something that doesn't require any tinkering or improvement but I think it's impossible to improve the format and the way the game is promoted.
It is exactly why I would love to see Barry Hearn running football. He's a man of integrity, honesty and straight talking and could sell sand to the Arabs. He's done wonders for darts in the same way he did for snooker back in it's 80's heyday.

Hearn has done a very good job with Darts but you do still have to remember that a lot of players still earn a living outside of the sport (No, that's not trolling) it probably only serves the top 16 players well.

I have to admit that I lost my bet as I went for Anderson but after watching that I can honestly say I couldn't care less about losing my money. That was a pure dream being lived out on live tv. Any top sportsman would love to win the world title of their specific sport but to hit a nine darter, 20 180's and beat a player like Anderson was a staggering achievement.
If Lewis keeps his feet on the ground and listens to his manager Keith Dellar he could win as many title's as he wants. Amazing stuff!

Anyone know the premier league line ups? It hasn't been finalised yet as there are still a couple of wildcards to be confirmed but I reckon the field will be: Taylor Wade Anderson Lewis Barney Van Der Voort Mark Webster Whitlock That would be a superb line up!

I heard that the rings for the doubles and trebles are slightly wider for the PDC dartboards than the BDO, and watching it on telly it certainly looks that way.
Not surprising that PDC players have a higher average.
Even still, no denying that Phil The Power Taylor is the true master of darts, and is better than Wolfie.

Put another way the wires on the Unicorn board used in the PDC are thinner than the Winmau used in the BDO. Strangely the combined Grand slam of darts was won by Scott Waites from the BDO just before christmas, against James Wade of PDC. Waites was 8-0 down but came back.

Terry Jenkins has got to be in there hasn't he? Jenkins is in there instead of Van Der Voort which surprises me a little but I do like Jenks, I've met him a couple of times and he's a top bloke. The other seven are included as expected. www.pdc.tv/page/PremierLeagueDetail/0,,10180~2258351,00.html
