Would be shocked if they went for Wilder given our position in the league. I think we will eventually finish quite a bit higher so glad Sheffield United lost speed this early.

If he did indeed go to Sheffield United then I wonder if we would get Phil Brown or Paul Hart...hope not

Good choice as he has a good track record in all divisions. I think he has been promoted from all three divisions

Wilder will not get the Sheff Utd job. Far too many better candidates knocking about. I'm intrigued to know why people mock Phil Brown's credentials. All for one ill-judged team talk. Look at what he achieved at Hull City. An astonishing achievement. If he became our manager I'd be well pleased. But I'm happy with Wilder, just for the record!

Yeh! They have approached Port Vale officially to ask if they can talk to Adams.

I tend to agree however I do think wilder fits the bill for the blades job. He will tell the board he can get better value for money and work within the alleged financial constraints, like he did so well here. As for Phil brown I too think he gets a far hardime. I thought his half time team talk was a master stroke but can understand the other view on it. It showed Passion imo. I would love Phil brown as manager if the unlikely happens.

Phil Brown might have kept them up again has Dowie not taken over. Sheffield United have a long tradition of sacking their managers so wouldn't be surprised if they go for a cheap option. How about Paul Jewell ex Wednesday as he will have a point to prove

What do you mean, he might never the chance again? The Sheffield United Manager's job comes up for grabs more often than I have sex. There'll be plenty of time for CW to go there if he wants after he's got us into the Championship. In fact once he's done that he'll get better opportunities than Sheffield Utd.

That was always on the cards Mark(Slappy) Brian Laws was the wrong choice after Owen Coyle deserted them for Bolton. His record since leaving Sc*nthorpe has been poor.
Never rated Fergie's son as a manager, he is living in his old mans shadow far too much, did well with Peterborough after signing the best players from the conference and with Barry Fry as his mentor , but as soon as Fry was no longer was pulling the strings it all fell apart for D Fergurson
Both of these 2 will find jobs with smaller clubs in the future but only time will tell if they make an impact again

Micky Adams to Sheffield United on a 2 and a half year deal. Mr Wilder will have to win another promotion before he gets that job!
Wilder masks now back on sale!

Micky Adams will only last until Easter the way managers are discarded all too easily these days

Micky Adams will only last until Easter the way managers are discarded all too easily these days I suspect your right, then it's a managers ego over common sense to join Sheff Utd.

Mickey Adams is from Sheffield and a blades fan, as was Neil Warnock so we have every right to be worried when that position becomes available
