So if my calculator is working properly it means our average away attendance, for LEAGUE games is 1,052 and the average away following at the Kassam is 487.

Our support is waning though, feel we will average around 600 for the remaining away games if we stay midtable

Numbers have dropped off away but only because early season games at Burton, Wycombe and Cheltenham were close. Last four have all been long distance, including a Tuesday night. It's too simplistic to look at raw numbers. we've got some reasonably local matches coming up, so the average will rise again.

Just what I thought YH but I think support will drop off if we are not challenging for something towards the end of the season but will probably increase if we get close to the play-offs. In the next two months we have mainly relatively short distance games but after 5th Feb they are mainly long trips for the Oxford based fans.

When you look at some of the away followings today for example, 175 Cheltenham fans at Shrewsbury (thats awful ), it puts our away support in to perspective.

Next visitors - Shrewsbury have a average away support for last 5 league games of 806, no figures on their site for first 4 aways.
Stevenage 306 Crewe 1191 Chesterfield 666 Morecambe 684 Port Vale 1184
Expect 350-500 possibly

Yes Gav, the more away supporters we get, as well as home fans, more income to maybe strengthen the team

Who wants to go to Chavanage if they don't have to! Port Vale & Crewe can be discounted as they are short trips. But Chesterfield and Morecambe are similar distances (time wise) so maybe the upper end of your prediction is possible. The more the merrier in my opinion but I hope they won't be singing the Jingle Bells song on their way home.
