Think Clist may be the odd one out this season Have to agree with junior. Clist is good, but Hall, Heslop and Bulman offer a lot more IMHO. Worley and Creighton could be our back pairing too and we have yet to see Cole in his full glory. No-one can rest on their laurels now - even Wright......remember this is not Conference football and we have stepped up a rung - because players can star in the BSP, they might find it a step too far in Div 2. We will just have to wait and see - IMHO they all have a chance to do well so the proof of the pudding is in the eating as they say. Good luck to all of them.

Keeping a very strong squad happy will test Wilders management skills thats for sure but I hope the players look at last season and see what can be achieved by knuckling down and not throwing your toys about.
Chapman stayed patient when he was out of the picture and ended up man of the match at Wembley, Creighton lost his place but again got his head down, worked hard and was there to enjoy the finale and Midson looked out of favour but stayed calm and focussed and was in the team at the end. Green and Batt too, they both lost their places at some stage but there was no surliness or feeling sorry for themselves.
We are, by definition, going to have a number of genuinely talented players not even involved in the match day squad and that is going to really hurt some. Players like Purkiss, for instance, are likely to miss out completely early on. A right back on the bench is an unlikely scenario and he isn't likely to displace Batt for the start of the season. Yet this is a player recognised as one of the best players at one of our closest challengers last season. He could find it tough early on - new club, new area and frozen out - but I hope he is one who looks at some of the instances from last season and just toughs out any initial disappointment at not starting. There will be plenty of others feeling the same.
