Other forums and sites, like youtube for example, have a thumbs up and thumbs down icon on each post. You click on the thumbs up if you think the post is good/agree with it and the thumbs down if you feel the opposite. It then has a count of the feedback for all to see.
Should we impliemnt such a system? (Or even can we?)
What got me onto thinking about it is the 'good post that ^^^^^' posts that are becoming every more present.
Perhaps it could the be used to view a posters statistics, like % of good posts etc
Feedback? (other then 'bad post that ^^^^^^ or thumbs down!)

You rarely get that on a discussion forum such as this (I don't think PHPBB type boards have that function anyway) it's more of a comments thing. I dislike the increased use of 'good post that ^^^^^' as it adds nothing to the conversion. If you agree state your reasons why, otherwise you're just using up space on the board unnecessarily. Thanks my thoughts on it anyway .

I remember when I was a mod asking whether we should add the Karma option that Proboards offers. So I think per post you can put + or - and under their post number it has Karma: -/+? It was - as with all my ideas - shunned.

One thing I would thought would be good, but probably too difficult would be to have a poll or something that after each game we could give each player a rating. Then at end of the season it would average out that players ratings

Pretty hard to implement unless you have single threads for each player, which would be very time-consuming and cluttersome. Easier to offer a thread where people can rate players, and then collate them yourself on a spreadsheet if you're interested enough.

I suspect none of us have the time to manually do such a spreadsheet. Although if anyone can HK Yellow can.

Yes, I certainly wasn't volunteering! It would only be interesting enough if lots (20+) of people voted each game, anyway.
