What to take the abuse some of them get, would you walk in the toilets on your own and tell all the smokers to stop smoking, you might do the once as a token gesture, but has anyone seen any of the toilets in the ground cleared of fans smoking.

If I understand your post correctly I believe you are indicating that the rules of our stadium are controlled by a few smokers within the east stand toilet block. As a club we do not have any responsible stewards capable of enforcing the laws of the land. If I have understood correctly what a sham, as a club we should therefore hang our heads in shame.

Top of the class. Speaking to an ex steward Today, he said it would be to much bother stopping the smokers completely, he didn't fancy getting a dig for trying to enforce the impossible. How many times do you have to ask a smoker to stop, before the steward has to enforce the rules.

what do stadco employ them to do though? smoking inside public places is illigal.. if they get away with that, y can't I take by beer to by seat? maybe if 40 of us grouped up together they wouldn't dare touch us.

If we say nothing then we can hardly expect the club/stadco to do anything! I have e-mailed the club and will let everyone know if and when I get an answer back.

Just a question no other reason. Most people that know me know I had cancer and since giving up smoking and surviving cancer I have actively supported a non smoking area for people to live there lives. Using the toilet is an important part of living this is the reason for my quest.

Using the toilet is an important part of living this is the reason for my quest. You've just reminded me that I need to complain about the smokers in the toilets. I can tolerate the odd few smokers as an embuggerance but Saturday was a joke. Not only could you not get in the bogs because the smokers were blocking the entrance, but I ended up stinking of smoke which frankly as a non smoker I don't like and shouldn't need to tolerate anymore unless I choose to. As for the bloke with the beer - he was lucky he wasn't kicked out as the stewards looked none too impressed.

What would happen to the club if this got found out? Its really bad going to the toilet at h/t. There is a fine of up to £2500 for each offense of failing to prevent smoking in an enclosed public space. This fine is likely to fall to the stadium company as the operators of the premises. People smoking in an enclosed public space can get fixed penalty of £50, or fine of up to £200.

Why? It's against the stadium policy. No smoking anywhere within the stadium. Laws are laws or are some more important than others. Its not just the stadium policy its the law. It's not though, is it? The corners could perfectly easily and legally be put aside as smoking areas. I couldn't give a to ss either way for what it's worth, I'm happy to go without for a couple of hours.

I couldn't give a to ss either way for what it's worth, I'm happy to go without for a couple of hours. But it's still part of the stadium isn't it? The only way around it would be to do what Reading did which was put cages outside that connect to the turnstiles so at half time people can leave the stadium and walk straight back in whilst nobody else can sneak in.
